Radnor requested us to bring our antique piece, the 1954 Autocar, together with radnor's 1954 Mack, to fight the mock house fire setup for the grand finale of the evening. I ended up being the nozzleman for the event. It was truely memorable, from riding the backstep down the street, to grabbing the old booster line and placing it service. Not only was it a blast to do, but it gave me a small sense of the fun and excitiment my grandfather must have had riding on these older trucks like he did for so many years with our neighboring fire company Bryn Mawr.
