STATION 24 RESPONDS TO VAN FIRE
Date: 12/19/06 Just before 8:30 am, Gladwyne responded to a van fire at Mill Creek and Conshohocken State Road. The van was fully involved on arrival but was quickly extinguished by Gladwyne firefighters.

LADDER TRUCK UPDATE
Date: 12/16/06 Today we visited KME to evaluate the status of the new ladder truck. The Cab has been mounted on the chassis and is starting to look like a fire truck! In the upcoming week KME will be installing the Pump box / housing / tank and plumbing. After that is completed the truck will be sent to Roanoke, Virginia to have the ladder and trailer installed. We are hoping to see the truck back at KME in early February for the final assembly. Delivery appears to be some time in May.

2 HOUSE FIRES IN 2 HOURS
Date: 12/8/06 Gladwyne Firefighters were alerted to assist Bryn Mawr Fire Company at a house fire on County line shortly after 1430 hrs. Gladwyne was called due to Ardmore redirecting to their own house fire which turned out to be a 3 alarm row home fire. Gladwyne and Bryn Mawr Firefighters made quick work of the small fire on Countyline Road and were then requested by Chief Hayden of Ardmore to proceed in and assist in Ardmore. This picture of Snorkel 24 on the hydrant "still doing it" is not something that you will see too often

NEW ADDITION IS TAKING SHAPE!
Date: 12/3/06 Although not ahead of schedule, the construction is moving along at a quick pace --assisted by unseasonably warm weather. The exterior walls of the new addition are almost at full height, and shortly the steel bar joist should be in place for the first floor. Recent rains have made ground inside the new addition very muddy. Hopefully, the contractor will be able to set the crush stone down within the next week, making it much easier to work.

LADDER TRUCK UPDATE
Date: 12/2/06 The new ladder truck is moving along at the KME Factory! They are finishing up the cab and this week it will be sent to the frame shop! The factory timeline has it driving around on its own by Christmas! Santa Clause will look GOOD driving around in the tiller seat next year!
