RIVER ROAD FLOODING
Date: 6/28/06 Gladwyne firefighters kept a close eye on the Schuylkill River for the last 48 hours! Heavy rains caused the river to rise rapidly and take over the river banks. Training tonight consisted of boat operations in flood stage waters. The pictures below are of the Gladwyne VFW Post, A view of River Road from the railroad tracks, and the last two pictures are of the newly constructed fish ladder at the Flat Rock Dam. It was completely underwater! As always, Gladwyne Firefighters are ready to help anybody during the floods!

As an official date for ground breaking has not been determined, it should be sometime in the later part of July, 2006! We would like to thank ALL of those who were involved in this project, and to the Township Commissioners who approved our project.

Check back soon for more building and New Ladder updates...
