The Volunteers of Gladwyne Fire Company request your financial support for our 2007 Fund Drive. Excellence has been our goal and commitment for 62 years. Our Volunteers, both male and female, are your friends and neighbors. They stand ready to help you 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. During the past year, our members have:
- Responded to over 200 fire and rescue calls.
- Participated in weekly drills.
- Attended evening and weekend training classes and seminars.
- Presented Fire Prevention Programs to over 500 school children.
- Welcomed you to our Haunted House.
Our Volunteers receive no financial compensation for all of this service. Their reward is the appreciation and recognition they receive from you, our neighbors in the community. We need your financial support for the maintenance of our firefighting equipment, fire trucks and water rescue gear, maintenance and upkeep of the firehouse as well as training and retention programs for our Volunteer firefighters.
Our goal is to increase the percentage of families and businesses who support our volunteers. Last year, the percentage was 51%. We know we can do better than that. In addition to increasing the percentage of givers, we hope to raise $135,000 to balance our operating budget. Gladwyne Fire Company is a 501-C (3) organization, so your donation is tax deductible and may be matched by certain employers. You may also participate through United Way (agency code 9597).
