The Active Members Club Of The Gladwyne Fire Company was established in 1969. The Club consists of “Active Members”, which are members of the company that have met the requirement qualifications of the Fire Company. The Club's main purpose is to be able to get the members together. The Club meets once a month to discuss the past and future events of the company. The Club has a wide variety of committees from softball to Flowers and Gifts.
The Active Members Club sponsors the annual Christmas Tree Sale, and of course, The Haunted House. These events allow us to provide things for the members. For example, each meeting two volunteers prepare a meal for the other members. We also sponsor events such as paintball trips and nights out at the Phillies games and other events. The Active Members Club is just another example of Gladwyne Fire Company’s commitment to our Community.
Each year the Club holds an annual election to fill the Club Officers positions, which include President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary. All Active Members are eligible to run for office, as well as vote in the election.
